Happy 10th Birthday to Star Trek: Voyager - Elite Force!

What is Elite Force?

Elite Force is a computer game for Macs, Playstation 2s, and Windows PCs. It was released on the 15th September 2000 to critical acclaim. The game comprised an expansive single-player campaign, and a had strong multi-player following with its 'Holomatch' online gaming mode. To learn more about Elite Force, see this Wikipedia article.

Right now! Simply join any of the "EliteForce.com" Holomatch servers to participate, and share your experiences with others users in our Community!

How do I participate?

To help users get back into the swing of using Elite Force, we've created a helpful guide:

1) Install Elite Force

Most former players should find their Elite Force installation CDs kicking around in a dusty drawer, but if you have lost your copy of the game, it can be acquired by other means…if you are really struggling to find your copy, please email BrokenAlien for help.

2) Install the Expansion Pack, or patch up

If you own a copy of the Star Trek: Voyager - Elite Force Expansion Pack, install it too. The Expansion Pack comes with the latest patch, and all the latest official maps.

If you don't own the Expansion Pack, you should instead install the latest Elite Force patch for your computer. You can download the patches right here: Mac patch (v1.2), Windows PC patch (v1.2)

3) Install Pathfinder

Pathfinder is an Elite Force server browser. It allows you to see the complete list of active gameservers, and join a game directly. Download Pathfinder here and extract the contents of the ZIP file to a directory on your computer. Then, run Pathfinder.

Switch to the 'servers' tab (at the top of the screen). Then make sure that the option 'Include empty servers' is selected. Press 'Query Master' to load the complete list of active servers. Clicking the 'server' column name will alphabetically sort the list. Once you have found the server you want to join, double click on it to join it. Pathfinder will ask you to locate your 'stvoyHM.exe' file (the 'Holomatch' programme), which by default is located in the C:\Program Files\Raven\Star Trek Voyager Elite Force\ directory. All our servers start with "EliteForce.com" so look out for those!

4) Get the latest maps

Download the following files to your C:\Program Files\Raven\Star Trek Voyager Elite Force\BaseEF directory:

pak3.pk3 (only download this if you do not have the Expansion Pack installed)
CTF_Faceoff
CTF_Faceoff2
CTF_Geothermal
CTF_Geothermal2
CTF_Spyglass

5) Choose a server, and play!

The following servers will be running:

EliteForce.com - Action Hero Free for All (a free-for-all server with the 'Action Hero' game mode)
EliteForce.com - Assimilation (a team-based server with the 'Assimilation' game mode)
EliteForce.com - Capture the Flag (a team-based capture-the-flag server)
EliteForce.com - Disintegration Free for All (a free-for-all server with the 'Disintegration' game mode)
EliteForce.com - Disintegration Capture the Flag (a team-based capture-the-flag server with the 'Disintegration' game mode)
EliteForce.com - Elimination Free for All (a free-for-all server with the 'Elimination' game mode)
EliteForce.com - Free for All (a free-for-all server)
EliteForce.com - Specialities Capture the Flag (a team-based capture-the-flag server with the 'Specialities' game mode)
EliteForce.com - Team Holomatch (a team-based server)
